Contrary to popular belief, most cats need some aid in their grooming – and owners should pay attention to their cats’ eyes, ears and coat.

Whether purebred or mixed breed, an integral to great grooming depends on the size of a cat’s coat. The cat with a very short, single coat exactly like the Siamese, Burmese and Cornish red needs minimal grooming. The dense-coated shorthaired cats like American shorthairs, British shorthairs and Scottish folds have to have a monthly grooming session. Semi-longhaired cats resembling Maine coons ought to be combed and bathed all the more regularly.
