Dog Groomers Arlington

Mud formulas to clean, nourish and detoxify, sheaf butter creams to soften, sooth and protect, and shampoos with kava, aloe, papaya and awapuhi to pamper—sounds like a pretty swank spa, right? But it’s not for you. It’s for your dog! In addition to routine baths and haircuts, Pawwtopia, Arlington’s newest grooming venue (open for business on Sept. 12), will be offering these additional services and more.
I caught up with owner, Virginia Goya, to sniff out the details, but our conversation turned to an even more interesting topic which I hadn’t yet thought to ask about: the importance of clear and precise communication between client and dog groomers arlington.
I think we’ve all experienced the disappointment of a haircut gone terribly wrong. If it’s a challenge to communicate our vision to our own hairdresser, it’s that much more of a challenge to communicate our wishes to our dog groomers arlington. I think we sometimes make assumptions about what a groomer should know; not realizing that what might be standard procedure at one shop might be a special request at another. My medium-length cut might be someone else’s short. One groomer’s idea of a tidy cut (very useful for male dogs, if you know what I mean) might look very different from another’s. I once worked at a shop where one irate client’s image of a field cut differed significantly from the groomer’s, although the result looked just like the image she showed me in a grooming book.
Goya is passionately aware of how important specific, realistic and honest communication between a dog groomers arlington and owner is to building a happy and lasting relationship. She shared with me some tips for making sure you’ll be happy with your dog’s spa experience.
