“There isn’t a haircut we can’t do,” said Bendy of herself along with the other professional groomers at Happy Hounds.

Even her very own dog, a Shampoo named Elvis, can be obtained roaming Happy Hounds with a design shaved into his coat.

“He was built with a heart for Valentine’s Day,” Bendy said. “People enjoy travelling to what Elvis sports his back.”

There are also two shop cats, Purchase and Whisper, whom Bendy rescued from your Kendall County Animal Control shelter.

“They can do tricks,” Bendy said proudly. “They will give fives, and one of my cats can make change. They’re really neat.”

Elvis as well as the cats would be the official Happy Hounds greeters.

“Everybody who comes here knows them,” Bendy said. “Sometimes they read more visitors than I truly do.”

Frequent customer Lisa Hill Rudnick said she gets like she’s walking right into a friend’s home at Happy Hounds local dog groomers.
