Carrollton Drive-Thru Feed is now offering dog-grooming services, in combination with its wide-ranging of livestock and pet feed and maintenance systems.

The feed store have been owned by Lorrie, Dennis and Tyler Fenton since 2008, as well as grooming salon, operated by Gail Perry, opened in January.

Perry, who’s got been a dog groomer for A decade, strives in order to avoid the “assembly line” grooming-salon model. Owners bring their dogs looking for appointments and Perry calls them as soon as their dogs are done, hence the dogs need not watch for hours in cages. She also dries dogs “by hand,” meaning she personally blow dries their fur, compared to putting them in cages with blowers targeted at them.

“I do fewer dogs (than other groomers), however I go out with them,” Perry said. “There are quite few dogs Need to muzzle, because I’m very patient with these.”

If a dog is equipped with to have to wait for pickup, Perry’s cages are outfitted with blankets and pillows to get a “homey” environment.

Perry noted Carrollton Drive-Thru Feed’s location near downtown is best for customers, as they possibly run errands or have lunch while their dogs are being groomed.

The whole groom, including haircut, facial, specialty shampoo, conditioner, ears, nails, breath sprits, finishing spray, cologne and bandana or bow is obtainable for $25 to get a minute medium-sized dog.

A bath only, consisting of all services inside full groom except a haircut, is $15 and up. A nail trim is $5.

Perry offers canine body glitter and blueberry facials, which lift dirt from dogs’ faces, remove tear stains, and are generally, tear free. Blueberry facials are free of charge with the appointment during March and April.

Lorrie and Perry, that’s assisted by her daughters, Harley and Coati, said to remain amazed at how fast business is continuing to grow from the grooming salon, adding, “We didn’t realize Carrollton needed this.”

Appointments with Perry are obtainable Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 11 a.m. to close.

While Perry is pampering customers’ dogs, the Fenton’s are striving to meet up with their animal feed and care needs inside most convenient way possible.

The feed store carries large-animal grain, including Manna Pro products for goats and horses; horse grooming supplies and wormer; feed and supplies for small animals just like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, including ADM show pellets and regular pellets; bedding, straw and hay.

The shop has in stock a superb collection of new and used horse tack, usually including 10 to 20 saddles.

Vegetable and herb seeds, garden herbicides and insecticides, and wild-bird feeding supplies and seeds approximately large bags of black oil sunflower seeds and seed mixes can be found.

“We load the feed; we open the spine. You never even leave the car,” Lorrie said, noting elderly customers and people who also have back and knee surgery appreciate not having to lift heavy bags of grain. Customers also like without needing to get out of your car if it’s raining, she added.

Carrollton Drive-Thru Feed also carries pet foods, including Sport Mix dog and cat food and gourmet biscuits, plus a full-line of Chicken Soup for the Dog or Cat Lover’s Soul foods, the place that the first ingredient is meat, not corn. Bill Jack foods might be added soon.
